Students in the fourth and fifth years of the MBBS program can receive theoretical, practical, and clinical instruction from the Department of ENT. The department’s primary goal is to produce community-focused physicians who are knowledgeable about common disorders of the ears, nose, and throat as well as provide an overview of recent advancements. Additionally, the course is intended to give students sufficient foundational knowledge and skills for diagnosing and handling life-threatening situations. Forty hours of theoretical lectures and eight weeks of clinical clerkship (Ward duties) make up the subject’s allotted teaching hours.
The Monno Medical College & Hospital’s ENT Department provides comprehensive care for a variety of patients in need of conservative or surgical treatments for the head-neck, sinuses, ears, mouth, pharynx, throat, and nasal passages. Modern equipment can be found in the department, which is supported by skilled ENT consultants, physicians, nurses, and technologists.
Before beginning any surgical procedure, patients are shown all relevant issues on television monitors and given a thorough discussion. This aids patients in making decisions and in better understanding their issues. In order to offer comprehensive services, the department handles all ENT-related issues and emergencies.
