Anesthesiology

Welcome To Anesthesiology Department

Medical students in their third, fourth, and fifth years of the MBBS program can receive training from the Department of Anesthesiology. The department’s primary goal is to educate students who can describe the scope of anesthesia in a rural setting, demonstrate a basic understanding of acute resuscitation (CPR), and be aware of potential complications and how to manage them. The subject will be taught for a total of 22 hours, of which 10 hours will be devoted to theoretical lectures and 12 hours to demonstrations.

Patients of all ages can receive a variety of anesthetic, preoperative, and pain management services from Monno Medical College Hospital’s Department of Anesthesiology. The Department of Anesthesiology also has a number of centers, such as the Hyperbolic & Diving Medicine Center and the Pain Management Center.

Clinical Anaesthesia

  • Anesthetic treatment in operating rooms for all kinds of medical, diagnostic, and surgical operations.
  • As needed, sedation and anesthesia are provided in the radiology, endoscopy, and angiography suites.
  • Sedation and anesthesia are provided in the Outram Campus specialty centers, which include the National Cancer Center, Singapore National Eye Center, and National Dental Center.

Surgical Intensive Care Unit

The surgical intensive care unit, neurosurgical intensive care unit, and burns intensive care unit all have 24-hour specialist critical care coverage.

Pain Management Unit Inclusive of:

Acute Pain Service: offering patient-controlled analgesia, regional nerve blocks, and epidural opioids for pre- and post-operative pain management.

Pain Clinic:

Providing inpatient and outpatient chronic pain management.
