Radiology & Imaging

Welcome To Radiology & Imaging Department

Students in their third, fourth, and fifth years can receive training from the Department of Radiology and Imaging. The teaching approach consists of tutorials, theoretical lectures, and hands-on demonstrations.

Modern technology and top-notch clinical knowledge are combined in the Department of Radiology & Imaging at Monno Medical College & Hospital (MoMC&H) to provide the best outcomes.

All of the modern diagnostic modalities, including cardiac and oncologic imaging, are available in the Department of Radiology and Imaging at MoMC&H. These modalities are used for screening, detection, diagnosis, therapy guidance, response evaluation, and post-treatment patient follow-up.

The picture archiving and communication system, or PACS, connects all modalities; the radiology information system (RIS), which is integrated into the Health Management System (HMS), is used for radiology reporting.

The department frequently takes part in a variety of academic events and multidisciplinary team meetings.

Machines facilities are:

  • Digital 500mA X-ray Machine
  • Portable X-ray machine
  • Dental (OPG) X-ray machine
  • 850mA X-ray Machine with Fluoroscopy
  • Mammography (Breast X-Rays)
  • Ultrasonography- VolusonS10, LogiqS8, Mindray DC-70 Exp. Mindray DC-70 Exp X-Insight ultrasound machines are available in the department. The services are – 2D,3D & 4D ultrasonography, TVS, TRUS, Color Doppler, Elastography, portable ultrasonography, USG guided procedures such as drainage, FNAC, Biopsy.
  • 128 Slice Philips Ingenuity Core CT Scan machine.( Routine brain and body CT scan, multi-phasic contrast-enhanced CT scan, high-resolution CT, cardiac and peripheral CT angiogram, CT guided procedures such as drainage, FNAC, Biopsy)
  • 5 Tesla Philips MRI machine (Advanced MR imaging of brain, neck, spine and body, MRS, MR mammography, MR angiogram, MR perfusion, Whole-body MRI)
  • DEXA scan
  • Interventional Radiology (Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound and CT guided procedures)

Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS):

The imaging and radiology department of Monno Medical College & Hospital has a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Multi-planer and three-dimensional reconstructions of radiological images are possible with PACS and an appropriate workstation. In addition to allowing online viewing of radiological images without the need for film or hard copies, PACS can transmit digital images to other locations and preserve imaging data for a long time, allowing us to access it whenever we need to. If the films are lost or damaged, we can also replicate them.

Emergency and indoor patient facilities:

This service currently operates around the clock, including on weekends and public holidays, and handles all general radiography, computed tomography, and ultrasound requests for emergencies and inpatients. For patients who are too sick to be taken to the department for their examinations, it also offers mobile radiography and ultrasound services, as well as operating room imaging services that are available 24/7.

INPATIENT IMAGING:

This service currently runs around the clock, including on weekends and public holidays, and handles all general radiography, computed tomography, and ultrasound requests for inpatients. For patients who are too sick to be taken to the center for their examinations, it also offers mobile radiography and ultrasound services, as well as operating room imaging services that are available 24/7.

Additional Activities:

  • Classes, journal clubs, case presentations, and symposiums are examples of regular academic activities.
  • involvement in a number of surgical plantings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • A number of faculty and fellows’ audits, projects, research publications, conference presentations, and lectures
  • involvement in trials.
  • arranging workshops, conferences, and student teaching initiatives.
